I would like to invite you to my studio for the sixth annual Art Trek Tryon 2014! This is my sixth year to participate in this popular art event and my studio will be open on Saturday, June 28 from 10:00 to 3:30 and Sunday, June 29, noon to 5:00. To start the weekend off right, there is an opening reception for the gallery exhibition part of the event, at the Upstairs Artspace on Friday evening, June 27, from 5 to 7:30. The gallery exhibit will showcase a representative piece of art from each of the participating 24 local artists, so please come out for that if you can manage...the openings are always fun! This year for the first time, there is a corresponding silent auction of many of the artists' works, so there will be bargains to be had! On Saturday morning at 9 am and Sunday morning at 11 am you are invited to enjoy coffee and refreshments at Upstairs Artspace, where you will be able to get maps and helpful tips, before visiting the artists' studios.

My studio is still at 175 Glenwalden Lane, Tryon, NC, but only the studio itself will be open this year, not the whole house. Don't worry, there will be signs. I will have artworks for sale, but please don't ever feel obligated to make a purchase. I'd just like to open the studio to you for a visit. An Art Trek map may be viewed and printed at www.upstairsartspace.org by clicking on the Art Trek link at the top of the page.

*Please note, I also have a solo exhibit with an opening reception at the Pickens County Museum of Art on Saturday night (see card below). There are 32 pieces of my most recent works in that show and you are more than welcome to join us there. In order to make it to that opening reception on time I will need to leave my studio early on Saturday...say around 3:30. Michael Brodeur (Furman University Head of the Art Department) is having a corresponding solo show in the second gallery and we will share the reception area that night.
